Penelope Judd is the latest children’s book by Shai Linne. This Christian picture book contains the lyrics to Linne’s eponymous song and is a simple allegory that helps children understand the gospel message. This story is rich with truth and contains many symbols throughout. It was fun to read it to my kids and sweet to see which symbols they were able to identify.
The illustrations are vibrant and lovely making this a book kids will want to reread. While the intended audience of this book is children, I found that it ministered to me, too. The line where the King gives His robe to Penelope brought me to tears as it made me recall Isaiah 61:10 and the beauty of the gospel. This is a wonderful children’s book and one I highly recommend adding to your home library!
