I received Beginning With God Family Devotions compliments of The Good Book Company in exchange for my honest review.
Beginning With God Family Devotions is a lovely companion to God’s Big Promises Bible Storybook. This is a devotional to be used for family worship time with children ages 2-7. One of my favorite elements of it is that many of the sections require no prep work! The structure of the devotionals is Do, which is an activity for children, To Start, which includes a brief intro to the story, Pray, which includes a brief prayer, Read, which lists which pages of the Bible storybook to read, Tell, which asks a question about the story, Ask, which includes questions for parents/guardians to ask, Listen, which includes a Bible verse, and Pray, which includes a closing prayer.

I love that Beginning With God Family Devotions helps families dive deeper into the stories of Scripture. It includes 92 devotionals, and each ends with a place for a child to place a sticker once it’s completed. The stickers are included, and the way they were designed to be used highlights how well this devotional is done.
Most of the prep work is done for parents, making this an easy way to capture children’s attention with the beauty of God’s word. This is an incredible resource for adults who live full lives and want to employ family discipleship habits but aren’t sure where to begin. It’s also great for families who have a worship routine but desire a bit more structure. I love this resource and can’t wait to read more in the God’s Big Promises series!
