I received Amazed compliments of The Good Book Company in exchange for my honest review.
Amazed is the first devotional by author Carolyn Lacey. This book includes 30 devotions focused on beholding Jesus. It’s broken up into six sections, with each section focused on an aspect of God’s character. Each devotion begins with a passage of Scripture and then contains additional verses for readers to examine.
I love that this devotional encourages readers to go to Scripture first before reading the devotional content. The content concludes with a Cultivate section, which encourages readers to go deeper with what they read in that day’s devotional, and a Pray section, which includes prayer prompts also based on the day’s reading.
There are twelve pages for journaling in the back of the book, giving readers extra space for interacting with its content. Carolyn’s insights are deeply comforting and richly rooted in Scripture. Amazed lives up to its title as reading it left me more in awe of God. This has easily become one of my favorite devotionals due to its being saturated in Scripture, and I highly recommend it!
