5 Things I Don’t Regret As A Christian: • Stu 5 Things I Don’t Regret As A Christian:

• Studying the Bible: For most of my life, I didn’t know that I could study the Bible for myself. I didn’t know that tools existed to help me understand it better. I’ve learned that God calls me to love Him with all of MY heart and MY mind and have found so much joy in knowing and loving Him better as I grow in understanding the Bible.

• Resting as an act of worship: Rest is hard for me because it feels unproductive but I’ve learned that it’s actually productive as it recharges me so I can faithfully finish the good works God has prepared for me.

• Trusting God by sleeping: Sleep is something I’ve foolishly sacrificed at times. Seeing how it impacts the battle between my flesh and spirit, and how it is helpful for my health, has made me prioritize it. Sleep causes me to acknowledge that I’m not God. I have limits, and humbling myself to live in them is a means for His power being made perfect in my weakness.

• Denying myself: This one is a work in progress 🫣 but I can think of times when I really wanted to serve myself over others, but served them anyway. I’ve seen God work through my obedience, and although it is often costly, I’ve never regretted it.

• Being motivated by love instead of fear: This is a new one to me and one I’m still working on as well. If I find myself proceeding from fear rather than love, I’ve found it helpful to pray through the fear, and to preach to myself about how it’s often giving something, or someone else, more power than God. When I put things in perspective, it is comforting to know that when Jesus said, “It is finished,” (John 19:30), He meant it. Since the most horrifying event ever wasn’t enough to separate Him from God’s love, I’m so secure in God’s love for me and can trust that even if the worst happens, He’ll be with me in it.

🙌🏻 I’m grateful for the joy of calling many good guys my brothers in Christ and I appreciate their examples of what it looks like to live lives of ordinary faithfulness

💻 This is also available as a blog post. You can type “good guys” in the search bar on my blog, hit enter, and it will appear.

Here are some of our favorite picture books to read about the American flag as well as one about flags from all over the world.

🌎 I bought the one featuring international flags for my 9 year old who loves geography. She recently told me it’s her favorite book ever and has been cutting out bookmarks and placing them on the pages of countries she wants to visit. 🤍

💻 I was stalled in my Bible reading for a few days due to confusion about this verse (and my toddler son waking up before 3 am one day 😵‍💫).

⚒️ When I finally went to work toward understanding this verse, these are some of the Bible study tools I used as well as my process.

📖 I hope this is helpful to you and encourages you as you grow as student of God’s word!
