I received Tully’s Christmas Mess compliments of New Growth Press in exchange for my honest review.
Tully’s Christmas Mess is a short and sweet story that uses the experiences of a dog named Tully to communicate the gospel message. In the book, Tully joins his owners in some of their Christmas traditions but often has to sit so he won’t make a mess. Despite his best efforts at obedience, Tully accidentally makes a big mess of things.

Rather than being condemned, his owners show him compassion and remind him that the birth of Jesus was also messy in many ways. Tully’s Christmas Mess is a cute story based on truths from the owner’s dog, Tully. The back of the book contains information about Tully which was hilarious to read. It also includes 5 things for parents to consider as they teach their children about Christ’s first coming. This is a fun read and I like the creativity in using something ordinary, like a silly and lovable dog, to communicate rich, timeless truths. I look forward to reading this with my kids each Christmas.
