A Dolphin Wish Book Review

A Dolphin Wish

I really enjoyed reading A Dolphin Wish by Christian recording artist Natalie Grant. I’ve really enjoyed listening to Grant’s music and was interested to review her Glimmer Girls book series to see if they would be appropriate for my 6 year old niece. A Dolphin Wish is the 2nd book in the Glimmer Girls series and tells of the Glimmer family traveling to a marine life themed amusement park in San Diego. While visiting the park, the Glimmer twins Mia and Maddie, find out that someone is letting the animals out of their exhibits. Along with the help of their little sister Lulu, the Glimmer Girls set out to solve the mystery and keep the animals safe.

A Dolphin Wish is slightly lengthy at 200 pages but the chapters are fairly short making it an easy read. As someone who avidly read the entire Nancy Drew series during her teen years, I loved that the story includes a mystery that was age appropriate. I remember some of the Nancy Drew stories containing characters and situations that would be too scary for a 6 year old but I know I can send the Glimmer Girls books to my niece and not have to worry. Although not a theology book, I did appreciate that Grant included some Scripture throughout the chapters the chapters. A Dolphin Wish is the perfect read for young girls and I can’t wait to send a copy to my niece.

I received a complimentary copy of A Dolphin Wish from BookLook Bloggers in return for my review.
