None Like Him

Reading Jen Wilkin’s latest book, None Like Him: 10 Ways God is Different From Us and Why That’s A Good Thing, was quite the privilege. I was first introduced to Jen Wilkin as I watched the Revive ’15 conference hosted by Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth’s Revive Our Hearts. I remember being captivated by Jen as she spoke about women teaching women in the church because she possessed the perfect balance of grace and truth. I’ve heard many women teachers/speakers in this day and and age who forsake truth and abuse grace by telling you only what you want to hear.

Jen is not one of these women.

None Like Him

Jen takes her readers through 10 of God’s attributes, although as she points out, there are many more. She is faithful to share truth from God’s word in such a way that shows the beauty of who He is. She inspires her audience to read the Bible and see who God is according to His Word versus reading it solely for what is has to offer them. She points out that as women, we like to make certain verses “pink verses” (I am SO stealing that!) such as Psalm 139 which has been generally abused as a self esteem booster. When we pause to reflect on what Psalm 139 is truly saying, we learn so much about God’s character!

Ladies, you need this book on your shelves.

Jen’s journey through some of God’s attributes is Biblical, relatable, and intelligent. I appreciate that she writes in such a way that people of all academic backgrounds can understand her. It is for these reasons, and so many others, that this book received my highest recommendation.

None Like Him is available now from Crossway, Amazon and other major booksellers.

I received None Like Him compliments of Crossway in exchange for my honest review.
