Crowe’s Nest Farm 2021

When we first moved to the Austin area, we were informed that when it comes to pumpkin patches, Crowe’s Nest Farm is the place to go. We first visited when Addie was about 7 months old. Although she couldn’t really understand what we were doing at the time, Derek and I enjoyed ourselves and decided to take the girls this year. Crowe’s Nest Farm is a working farm and animal rescue located in Manor, TX (for readers outside of Texas, it’s pronounced may-ner not man-or – we don’t know why, it’s just a Texas thing). This year, we decided to begin our trip with breakfast at Cracker Barrel here in Round Rock. We’re in a season where the girls are old enough to handle eating at sit down restaurants which is fun for us because there were times we never thought we’d see the day. The girls loved the toys, candy, and Christmas decor at Cracker Barrel (and honestly, so did I) and we all enjoyed the food. Then we made the quick drive to Manor which I enjoyed because it’s certanly more of a country area and the views are beautiful. Whenever we visit parts of Texas outside of the Austin area, we like to say we’re in real Texas. Since we visited Crowe’s Nest Farm on a weekday morning, it wasn’t crowded at all and we’ve already decided to do that again next year. The weather was perfect and we all enjoyed our visit. The girls adored petting and feeding the animals and since the farm is open other times throughout the year, I’m hoping to take them back again often. Here are a few photos I captured during our visit this year – I hope y’all enjoy viewing them as much as I enjoyed taking them!
