I don’t typically consume Cheez-It crackers or any of the Cheez-It snacks but when I learned that I was receiving the Cheez-It Puff’d VoxBox from Influenster, I was interested in trying this new snack. My six year old saw the VoxBox and was excited to try the crackers as well. The Puff’d Cheez-It flavors I received included Double Cheese and White Cheddar. The Double Cheese flavor tasted similar to a regular Cheez-It cracker but had a lighter texture akin to Cheetos. The White Cheddar consisted of a milder cheddar flavor with the same texture as the Double Cheese version.

Although I do enjoy the taste of traditional Cheez-It crackers, they aren’t something I consume regularly or regularly purchase for my family. I prefer to purchase and consume snacks that contain ingredients that are better for my body and I don’t like the combination of unhealthy oils and preservatives used in Cheez-It products. The Cheez-It Puff’d Double Cheese crackers contain these same unhealthy ingredients and more including corn syrup solids. The Cheez-It Puff’d White Cheddar crackers seem to have more ingredients that I can pronounce and am familiar with but still contain unhealthy oils and preservatives.

I didn’t enjoy how messy the crackers were as they left trails of crumbs and dust when I poured some into a bowl. My six year old tried some and her hands were dusty thus furthering the mess. She didn’t like the crackers and while I tried them for the sake of this review, I didn’t find that I liked them either. Cheese crackers of any sort aren’t a regular part of my family’s snack rotation but if they were, we would likely choose Annie’s Organic Cheddar Bunnies as the ingredients, overall, are healthier. While I’m grateful to have received these snacks for testing purposes, we don’t plan on purchasing them.
