I’m typically not into businesses that require you to attend parties in order to purchase their merchandise but for me, Norwex has become the exception. I have to admit that I was quite skeptical about how well Norwex would work when I first learned about the company. However, since one of my friends was selling the products, I decided to attend a party to support her business. For those of you unfamiliar with Norwex, it is a brand of microfiber cloths that work by just adding water. Norwex is unique in that it requires no chemicals due to the cloths containing silver which has antibacterial properties. I am all for reducing the amount of chemicals in my home and have been primarily using microfiber cloths (sans silver) and a home made vinegar/essential oil spray to clean my home.

At the conclusion of the Norwex party I attended, I wanted to purchase just about every item from their catalog. Since I don’t have limitless funds, I decided to start with the Microfiber Variety Pack (MVP) which contains a compact version of the EnviroCloth, Window Cloth and Body Cloth with BackLok (Norwex‘s antibacterial component of the cloths). The price for the MVP is $19.99 which had me a little skeptical knowing that I had paid about $10 for a pack of 24 microfiber cloths from Amazon but I wanted to give Norwex the benefit of the doubt.

EnviroCloth

The day I received my Norwex items, my husband was bummed to discover a red wine stain in our  carpet. I had learned that the EnviroCloth could be used to remove just about any stain and decided to give it a try. I wish I had taken a before and after picture because the stain is completely gone! I went to town using the EnviroCloth to clean my kitchen (countertops, microwave, stove top, cabinets and fridge) and I was impressed with how well the EnviroCloth was able to remove gunk and stains so quickly and how much it was able to hold.

Window Cloth

The Window Cloth is a personal favorite of mine because after trying various chemical laden cleaners to clean our bathroom mirror, the Window Cloth is the only thing that has worked to keep it spotless. What I like about the Window Cloth is that you can use it dry and it has polishing properties. I used it on our bathtub spout and was amazed that it removed the hard water stains that my homemade cleaner couldn’t and it was shinier than I’ve ever seen it.

Body Cloth

I kind of gave the Body Cloth a try and wasn’t really a fan at first. The idea is to, again, just use the cloth and water – no soap. I recently made the switch to castille soap because my skin is really dry and I don’t want to contribute to the dryness by using products with sulfates. However, after hosting my own Norwex party, I decided to give the Body Cloth another go around. My consultant Brittany mentioned that some people are using the Body Cloth in lieu of shaving cream. To me that seemed like a quick path to skin irritation and razor burn, but I decided to give it a try. I am amazed to say that my skin was very soft after using the Body Cloth and I had absolutely no problems with it. I’ve also used it to clean my face and it has been able to remove all of my makeup.

I have been surprisingly impressed with the Norwex family of products and am excited to try more.

With the money I’m saving by not purchasing chemical based cleaners,

I may even have to add a Norwex category to my budget!

Norwex is a win for my family and I hope it will be for yours too!
