When I learned that I would be a recipient of Influenster’s R.W. Knudsen Juice Shots Vox Box, I was very excited. I enjoy using apple cider vinegar in pill form as well as diluted in water to help with PMS. I’ve also used it before as a toner for my face. The apple cider vinegar shot is a 2.5 fluid ounce drink that contains additional organic ingredients including water, ginger juice, black pepper, turmeric powder, and cayenne pepper.

Although I love the idea of having these shots on hand for wellness, I probably should have payed more attention to the term “shot.” I’ve never consumed an alcoholic shot before but I assume this comes close to one in some ways. There was an immediate burning sensation in the back of my throat which wasn’t necessarily painful but it did sting a bit. I certainly wasn’t expecting it but having read the ingredients, I realized I should have been more prepared. I couldn’t finish an entire shot because it was too spicy for me. However, I diluted it in water and it was much easier to consume. The price at my local HEB is $2.49 for an individual shot which isn’t necessarily cheap for such a small amount but considering that the ingredients are organic, the price seems reasonable to me.

Influenster sent me a pack of 12 shots and I was hoping to save them for times of sickness but they expire rather quickly. While I love the idea of having something ready to go when I’m not feeling well, I think it would probably be cheaper to purchase each ingredient separately and make a large batch of my own juice shots at home. This probably isn’t a product I will regularly purchase and consume but the next time I experience a cold with congestion, I definitely plan on buying one!

I received the R.W. Knudsen Juice Shots Vox Box compliments of Influenster for testing purposes.
