The Maker of the Mountain is the debut title by singer/songwriter Sandra McCracken and her husband, Tim Nicholson. In this book, readers follow a little bear on his journey through nature to learn what God is like. Some things the book teaches about God are that He is like a bridge, showing us the way, He keeps us safe, and He helps us grow.
Each of the truths about God is backed by a Bible verse, and the end papers of the book feature a map of the little bear’s journey and include landmarks with a verse reference.
The Maker of the Mountain features lovely illustrations by Fia Tobing, making this book one to display in a nursery or classroom. It would also be a great baby shower gift. This is a sweet picture book for little ones, and I love that it includes many Scripture references.
