J is for Jesus is the second picture book by pastor and author Alistair Begg. This book is similar to its predecessor, C is for Christian. It takes children through 26 characteristics of Jesus, and each one begins with a letter of the alphabet. The characteristics can be viewed on the corresponding Alphabet Poster. This book is part picture book, part devotional. Each page begins with a Bible verse corresponding to a characteristic of Jesus and concludes with questions for discussion and a prayer.

I love that the book’s illustrations are vibrant and engaging. The book includes a ribbon bookmark, which I appreciate. This is a great book to add to your home library and/or gift to children at birthday parties and baby showers. We love this book and look forward to reading more in this series!
